Riders paid tribute to fallen Colleague with Motorcade.

family24022011Philipsburg/Marigot:--- Motorbike riders, cyclers, friends and family of Jean Claude Benjamin turned out in large numbers on Thursday to pay their last respects to their fallen friend and colleague who died in a motorbike accident last week. The riders dressed in their full gear and gathered at the Royal Funeral Home just before 11am when the motorcade was scheduled to take off.
motorcade24022011The motorcade passed through Philipsburg, Bush Road and Cole Bay before heading to the Salle Omni Sports Auditorium where the home going ceremony was held. Pastor Hodge performed the last rights for the bereaved family. The late Jean Claude Benjamin leaves a legacy for his friends and colleagues in the cycle and motorbike racing sports. The rider known as "66" leaves to mourn his three children and other close relatives.
