Church service held in honor of Fire Fighters.

GREAT BAY (DCOMM):--- A church service at the Baptist Church in St. Peters was held in honor of fire fighters on Sunday as part of Fireman's Week celebrations, which started with the aforementioned service.

The next event of Firemen's Week is a Sport's Day on Wednesday at the L.B. Scott Sport's Auditorium starting at 4:00pm, and Firemen's Uniformed Parade on Friday, March 30 starting at 4:00pm from the old fire depot in Philipsburg.

The week's activities will conclude with a dinner on March 31.

The Fire Fighters Foundation is the body responsible for organizing the various events around Fireman's Week.

During the past weeks fire fighters, first responders, have been kept very busy in dealing several bush fires due to dry weather conditions. Officers work around the clock to keep our nation safe from peril and responding to emergencies.

The Fire Department falls under the Ministry of General Affairs with the prime minister politically responsible for the service.
