MARIGOT:--- A 17 year old youth who is considered to be a rebellious and a suspect of several burglaries was arrested during a control in Hope Estate Industrial Zone. A press release from the gendarmerie states that the youth was riding a motor cycle without a helmet. When the controlling officers stopped the youth he did not cooperate. The gendarmes managed to capture the youth some distance away. Background information showed that the youth is wanted for several burglaries that were committed in the Hope Estate, Orient Bay, and Mont Vernon. The crimes were committed between January and April 2010. The suspect was also in possession of a stolen car. He will be charged with armed violence, driving without a license and helmet, breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods.
