The government workers said they were also informed that they will not be receiving their Christmas savings (Tax Reservations) which is deducted each month from their salaries and are given to them in December for the holiday season. "All we are hearing via the grapevine is that government doesn't have monies to give us our Christmas savings in December and they will try to pay us in January. While we are hearing this, no one from the Personnel Department had the courage or decency to inform us on time. We are one week away from Christmas and now we are hearing that they don't have the monies they deducted from our salaries." Many of the workers called Members of Parliament from the National Alliance faction expressing their grievances.
