Economic Affairs Confirms that MONEY GAME N.V. is Not in Possession of a Business License --- Dos Santos Cheated Government close to NAf. 10 million.

ramesisjamaloodin17082012Philipsburg:--- Ramesis Jamaloodin is one step closer to protecting his business Gold Chest N.V. and finally stopping the constant harassment by certain civil servants whom he claims have been receiving monies from his half brother Robertico Dos Santos.

On August 31st, 2012, the Department of Economic Affairs issued a letter to Jamaloodin which states that they are unable to produce a copy of a license for the MONEY GAME N.V. that is drawing numbers every night on St. Maarten.

The Department of Economic Affairs provided Jamaloodin with copies of the licenses the government of St. Maarten issued for Smartplay N.V. and Jamorama N.V. The three companies are owned and operated by Robertico Dos Santos who is currently under criminal investigations for money laundering, fraud, and tax evasion.

The owner of Gold Chest N.V. said that Robertico Dos Santos cheated the government of St. Maarten of close to Naf. 10 million guilders since he is not paying the monthly fees of Naf. 30,000.00 which is required by law for holders of number game licenses. Jamaloodin said he will be filing an injunction on Monday or Tuesday at the Court of First Instance so that the court could order the government of St. Maarten to close down the Money Game Offices since his company has been receiving unfair competition from an illegal company. Jamaloodin said he will also be seeking damages while he intends to file a complaint with the Prosecutor's office against the government of St. Maarten and particularly against the civil servant who is supposed to ensure that the company has a valid license before they could draw numbers. Jamaloodin said that certain civil servants have been harassing him and have been leaking information about his company to his half brother's lawyer which is being used in court against him, he said had he not been prepared he would have lost the case.

So far, Jamaloodin has filed a complaint with the office of the Ombudsman requesting that she investigates the Department of Economic Affairs for failure to comply with "Landsverordening Openbaarheid van Bestuur" when they failed to respond to his letter of August 13th, 2012 where he requested public information regarding the Money Game N.V. and other companies his half brother owns.

Jamaloodin also sent a letter to the Minister of Economic Affairs Romeo Pantophlet and to the Governor of St. Maarten requesting that they revoke the license they granted to his brother Robertico Dos Santos on May 15th, 2012 knowing that his brother was convicted in the past and is currently under criminal investigations.

It should be noted that Robertico Dos Santos sent an undated letter some five years ago to former Chief Prosecutor and now Solicitor General Taco Stein under the name the Money Game requesting that Jamaloodin be investigated. Jamaloodin said that Stein did not investigate to see if the accusations his half brother made were true but he ordered his arrest. "I have not said one word for five years, I lost my home in Curacao and everything else that I owned because of the maliciousness of my half brother but today I will fight to the very end to make sure I preserve my rights. If it means I have to go after the legal system I will do just that because there are people in high places that are on the payroll of my brother and I will expose them one way or the other," Jamaloodin told SMN News.
