Marigot:--- Newly elected President Alain Richardson and his team of elected officials that hold the majority of seats in the Territorial Council have decided to fire their Director of Cabinet Alex Richards. President Richardson made the announcement via a press release on Saturday April 7, 2012 shortly after FaxInfo reporter Jénovéfa Eche published another story and proof showing that Alex Richards stole speeches from French Presidential candidates François Hollande and Hervé Morin. The new revelation was made on the FaxInfo website Saturday morning. The President will also be holding a press conference on Tuesday morning to further address the most recent scandal surrounding the RRR political campaign, especially the political declaration he pronounced on April 1, 2012 during the installation of the Territorial Council.
President Richardson said that the revelation on the source of his speech by various media houses has placed his political party and elected officials in a questionable position. The compilation of the speech was entrusted to his office director Alex Richards. Therefore, the situation has forced him and his members to take an exceptional but proportional decision which is to immediately end the functions of his Director of Cabinet Alex Richards. President Richardson reiterated that transparency and good governance has always been the spirit of the RRR and they will continue to maintain that spirit through their actions.

La situation opaque de ces derniers jours concernant la source du discours d'investiture du dimanche 1er avril dernier, dont j'avais confié la rédaction à mon directeur de cabinet, Alex Richards, m'oblige à prendre une mesure exceptionnelle mais proportionnelle à l'émoi que cela suscite. J'ai donc décidé, en accord avec les membres de mon groupe, de mettre fin aux fonctions de mon directeur de cabinet nouvellement recruté, M. Alex Richards. La transparence a toujours été le mot d'ordre et l'esprit du groupe Rassemblement Responsabilité Réussite, et elle continuera à guider nos actions. Cet épisode fâcheux ne modifie en rien notre volonté de mettre en œuvre le programme pour lequel nous avons été élus, et notre détermination à servir la population.
