On September 17, 2012 USM management attended the "Leraren aan het stuur congress" a congress organized by the Directie onderwijs Aruba in collaboration with LOOK (Wetenschappelijk Centrum Leraren Onderzoek) and made business calls to the Universities in Aruba (University of Aruba (UA) and the Instituto Pedagogico Aruba (IPA)). The congress centered primarily on networking but also explored various educational topics, among others, the accreditation possibilities available to the Dutch Caribbean. On Wednesday September 19, 2012, USM President Annelies van den Assem and Dean of Academics Glen Yeung paid a work visit to UNA to discuss further and additional cooperation with USM. As part of the already established collaboration, the Bachelor in Business administration (BBA) and bachelor in accounting (BA), accredited by the" Nederlands Vlaamse Accreditatie Organizatie" (NVAO), are scheduled to commence on September 28, 2012 with 21 USM alumni.Persons who are interested in more information on these programs are requested to contact the University of St. Martin at tel. 542-5171 Ext. 1004.
