Philipsburg:--- The detective department (Armed Robbery Team) is busy investigating an armed robbery that took place in the parking lot behind Klass Electronics on Front Street. According to reports reaching SMN News, two armed gunmen held up an employee of Klass Electronics who was on his way to the bank to make a large deposit for the company. Sources say the employee had close to $20,000.00 in his possession at the time of the robbery and the gunmen escaped with all of the money. The reports states that it appears as though the gunmen were in the parking lot waiting for the employee when he was held up. The two gunmen then ran over to Cannegieter Street where they were picked up in a small grey car in which they escaped. Police Spokesman Ricardo Henson confirmed that the detectives are busy investigating the early morning robbery. Henson said police tried to catch up with the getaway car but they failed. The police spokesman further explained that police has an idea where to look for the culprits.
