As part of the upgrading and training of the Police Department, on Thursday March 15 and Friday March 16, 2012, a total of 30 police sergeants (hoofdagenten) sat their exams in the subject "Advanced Spanish Conversation Techniques." This course was given by Mr. Yorandy Provance who is a teacher at the Milton Peters College. Mr. Provance along with police Inspector Tico Gonzales who is an instructor at the Police Academy in Curacao (O.R.V.) gave the candidates their exam. The results of the exam will be announced at a later date.
