Philipsburg:--- The United Federation Union has dispatched a letter to Deputy Prime Minister Theodore Heyliger, the Governor of St. Maarten drs. Eugene Holiday, and Parliament requesting information on several labour related issues. The UFA in its communication is seeking to have a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister to discuss the labour related issues that has their concerns. The UFA states in its letter of March 27, 2012 that they have urgent points to be discussed regarding the cost of living on St. Maarten, service charge, and the minimum wage. Other points include the short term contracts and speedy mediation from the Department of Labour Affairs.
