Marigot:--- The gendarmes re-arrested a fugitive that escaped from their custody on March 27, 2012 while he was held at the Marigot brigade. A press release from the Gendarmerie states that the man was arrested when he was seen walking in the Baie Nettle area naked. A resident of Baie Nettle reported the man to the Gendarmes who arrested him for indecent exposure but he managed to escape while at the Marigot brigade. Ever since the culprit escaped, the gendarmes were busy looking for him. After an in-depth investigation, the gendarmes managed to pinpoint the culprit's location. On Sunday April 22nd, the Gendarmes conducted an operation and arrested the suspect. He was transferred to Guadeloupe where he appeared before a magistrate on Tuesday April 24, 2012 and was sentenced to five months imprisonment for indecent exposure and for escaping from police detention.
