Thewet said that Khan worked diligently and took his job very seriously when it came to the safe transportation of school children.
"Salim Khan worked for a quarter of a century bussing school children. He is well known for his caring ways amongst the kids. He will be missed by all. May his soul rest in peace," School Bussing Inspection Department Head Martha Thewet said on Wednesday.
Khan became ill about a year ago and took a leave of absence from his job.
