SOUTH REWARD:--- The South Reward Community Council strongly condemns the brutal attack on the young nine-year-old girl, that took place in South Reward on Thursday morning, May 15. "It was shocking and difficult to read about this senseless and violent attack on a school girl. Our hearts go out to the victim and her family, in this difficult time. Even though the topic of mentally unstable citizens has been a lingering issue, too little attention from the communities and government has been given. It is an issue that should have never taken the spotlight because of an incident like this. We sincerely hope that other Community Councils and the Government will start having serious forums on what could be done to help mentally ill patients and to prevent another senseless attack. An Awareness Campaign on Mental Health will be on the S.R.C.C.'s agenda as we move forward with the hope that other communities will also handle this all important topic," said Vice President of the South Reward Community Council Armand Meda.
