PHILIPSBURG: --- A female has lost her life while two other persons have been hospitalized due to an early morning accident on Defiance Road.
Police have said that the detective department is busy investigating the cause of the accident that has claimed the life of a female.
At about 4:45 am, another scooter was seen fleeing the accident scene while two persons were seen lying on the ground not far away; the two riding a green and black scooter also lost control of the two-wheeler as they were fleeing.
The accident that claimed the life of the female this morning is the first death for the year 2025, while about 8 persons lost their lives due to motorcycle and or scooter accident for the year 2024.
An ambulance parked at the Middle Region entrance was also damaged when another motorist ran into the emergency vehicle.
